Memphis Grizzlies was the 7th seeds in the western conference last season, but they has the second worst grades in this season. The game I watched is boring, Grizzlies played lazily, players and coach members didn't want to win. It might be the worst home team I've seen on my road trips.
We spent more than 7 hours from Oklahoma City crossing Arkansas State to Memphis. This city looks similar to New Orleans, they both have different style of Jazz and black people music. Black people in these two cities are polite and charming, and these two are both tourism cities filled with music, beers, and bars. The area around Beale street in Memphis downtown is just like Bourbon street in New Orleans, but Beale street is much smaller and messier than Bourbon street. We could see lots of Asian tourist on Bourbon street, but it seems just us come from Asia in Beale street.
There is a Memphis Music Hall of Fame in the downtown, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time to visit this museum.
FedexForum is a unique arena. First, it's the only one is not called arena or center in NBA. Second, Grizzlies organization uses a lot of musical factors in this building. You can find a big guitar on the wall, and the sighs of restroom is a singing person. Third, there is a cargo plane of Fedex made by Boeing company in FedexForum, it's interesing.
FedexForum was interesting, but contents weren't. The introduction might be the most exciting part in the game. Grizzlies and Lakers both weren't good in this season, but they had totally different attitudes. You could easily find Lakers want to win this game, but Grizzlies don't. Grizzlies' players played lazily, coach members didn't try to win. Grizzlies' game host is the worst I've seen, he let the boring game become more boring. It's the most terrible home team I've seen.
We met a heavy rain storm after this ball game, so we had a horrible driving experiences on Hernando de Soto Bridge to West Memphis. We found we collect every kind of storms in our trips. We met snow storm "bomb cyclone", and we stuck our car in the snow at midnight. We drove into heavy wind alert twice in New York State and Ontario. We would met ice-snow storm in Buffalo, and it's delayed our schedule for two days. We had a lot of fun chasing ball games in these road trips, but driving into those storms in winter made us really scary.
